Family… I am the blessed wife of a man whose smile lights up my days, whose humor fills our home and whose inherent goodness and faith is the bedrock upon which my love for him is founded. I am the joy-filled, married mother of 8 amazing children who humble me, stretch me and enliven me. Each child is unique and has their own gifts and needs. Our daughter Elizabeth was adopted from Armenia when she was 10. Both she and my son Gabriel have a congenital neuromuscular condition called Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita. Their medical care has taken us to hospitals in many states and this journey has formed us all over the past 18 years.
This is the family under my roof but the family within my heart extends to a much larger circle. My family of faith, those who helped raise me, those with whom I worship, those whom I pray for, my sisters and brothers in Christ Jesus and those who do not know the Lord are all family to me. I pray each day to have eyes to see each person I meet as such and that Jesus within my heart is made visible to each person I encounter and that they are drawn to seek Him through me.
